I was invited to be a member of NASA Johnson Space Center Office of STEM Education Advisory Council (formerly NASA’s Network of States).  With a focus on formal and informal educators who serve grades 3-5 the advisory council provided guidance in NASA’s week long professional development institute that provided training on NASA content, missions and education resources.  The participating educators in turn delivered NASA based STEM engagement activities for youth. Part of my responsibility was to recruit educators from schools that have a high Native American population to participate and provided follow-up support.
